Rand Paul 2024
RAND PAUL 2024

I'm glad that Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in 2016. We ended up with a much better Supreme Court than if Hillary were President. The rollback of regulations under Trump was another good thing, too. Also, Trump didn't expand our military presence in the Middle East.
Unfortunately, we also got some bad things from Trump-- the bump stock ban, Dr. Fauci, and Covid bills full of corporate welfare/pork, to name a few.
Because of Trump's failures on those matters (and other matters) and the fact that he did nothing to try to stop Congress' excessive spending, we need someone else in the White House-- someone who understands the Constitution and economics better than Trump.
I nominate Senator Rand Paul.
Sen. Paul has a solid history of opposing interventionist wars, opposing deficit spending, and opposing government measures that violate our constitutional rights. He also pushed back hard against Fauci in Congressional hearings.
Ron DeSantis
Enter Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida.
I am really glad that DeSantis was elected governor in 2018. Had the pathetic Democrat (Andrew Gillum) won, life here in the Sunshine State during Covid would've been pretty bad. While DeSantis got it wrong when Covid first hit, he subsequently looked at the data and re-opened the State.
Good.
I also like how DeSantis has exercised leadership on matters that affect kids-- such as sexual materials in schools and the harmful transitional medical treatments being administered to kids.
As for foreign policy (which is not in a governor's wheelhouse) DeSantis has made negative comments about US policy vis-a-vis Ukraine, but he's still basically an unknown factor on foreign policy. He needs to take a firm stance against interventionist wars and nation building. Stay tuned.
Conclusion
I don't know if Rand Paul is going to run in 2024, but we very much need someone like him in the White House. Hopefully we'll get Rand as President, but if not that, then as VP or Secretary of State.
In any case, the deficit spending has to end, and the military misadventures have to end, too.
Here's hoping. //
