Libertarians believe that the equal rights of all people matter all the time. No exceptions.

These liberties are not mere privileges granted by the government, but inalienable rights inherent to every individual.

The Libertarian Party stands as a steadfast defender of these rights, unwavering in our commitment to protect them against any form of government intrusion.

Our stance is clear: personal freedoms such as freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, and the right to privacy must be upheld at all costs. These rights are essential for a thriving society, allowing for a diversity of thoughts and beliefs, fostering innovation, and enabling citizens to hold their government accountable.

We recognize that once these liberties are compromised, the path to authoritarianism is short. History is replete with examples where the erosion of civil liberties under the guise of security or order has led to the suppression of dissent and the curtailment of personal freedoms.

We refuse to let history repeat itself on our watch.

We also understand that protecting civil liberties means standing up for the rights of individuals, even when their views or actions are unpopular. This is not always easy or politically expedient, but it is necessary for the preservation of a free society. Whether it's defending the right to peaceful protest, fighting against unwarranted surveillance, or opposing laws that unfairly target specific groups, our commitment to civil liberties is unwavering.

The Libertarian Party champions a society where civil liberties are respected and protected. In an era where these liberties are increasingly under threat, our message is both a call to action and a reminder: to be vigilant, to be courageous, and to stand united in the defense of our civil liberties.

For in doing so, we preserve the very essence of freedom, liberty, and the autonomy to live your life as you wish.//
