Trump stood up to radical Islam, destroyed ISIS, put the travel ban in place, appointed 3 good SCOTUS justices and a ton of great judges to lower federal courts. He rekindled a sense of patriotism in many Americans after 8 years of Obama and crew constantly pointing out the worst in our country. He stood up to the lying media and roasted them to their faces. And they deserved every bit of it, because they'd been propping up Obama and gaslighting conservatives for 8 years and have basically become a propaganda arm to the Left. He also pointed out the failures of the 'nation building and democracy spreading' policies of the Bush/Cheney era and showed us that it was time to move on. For all of these things, I am grateful.

He also didn’t build the wall, didn’t repeal and replace, led terribly during Covid, didn’t stop the BLM rioting, appointed Fauci and refused to fire him, rammed the vax through 10 years of safety testing in 3 months while telling us all it was 100% safe and effective, added more debt than Obama (even before the Covid stimulus), increased the deficit more than Obama and deported far fewer illegal aliens than Obama. He personally worked with Ryan/Schumer and Pelosi on approving the largest amnesty bill in American history, constantly attacks winners in his own party for no reason other than his own ego and has consistently caused Republicans to lose down ballot since 2018. He acts with poor character and little integrity. He appeals to the lowest common denominator in everyone. 

He is reckless, can't stop stepping on rakes, has big government, left wing instincts in many regards, and constantly hands the Democrats the rope to hang him with. He is his own worst enemy. He is unfocused, and completely incapable of working effectively within a bureaucratic, legislative environment to build the necessary alliances and coalitions needed to pass meaningful, important, conservative legislation that ultimately leads to results.

He's also compromised by the Left, now that he has 91 criminal charges, and he will be distracted and tied up in court for a minimum of 2 years. He will not be able to recruit competent people into his administration, assuming he could even beat the Democrat, which he probably couldn't. His trials will likely start around August and will run through the general election campaign season. Again, all a distraction from the actual mission of serving the American people and implementing real, positive and effective conservative legislation. And if he is the nominee, it will devastate the GOP brand down ballot and hand the House & Senate to the Democrats at a minimum.

All of this is true and should be taken into account when judging Trump holistically. Any rational person that actually wants to win and wants conservative policy implemented and cares about actual results will look at all this and realize that it is time to move on from Trump. //

REVISITING WACO Not geographically, but in memory by Les Govment 160 views  It was a crisp autumn day in 1984 when I first met Jimmy Riddle outside the entrance to a church in Waco, Texas. As I approached the entrance, he greeted me and introduced himself. Shortly thereafter we found ourselves engaged in conversation. We had gotten so caught up in the conversation that by the time we were done, the church service inside was coming to an end. Jimmy told me he was a member of the Branch Davidians, who were split into two groups at the time. One group-- which Jimmy was a part of-- followed David Koresh and were staying in a house in Waco.
