Mass Migration Doesn't Work

MASS MIGRATION DOESN'T WORK Mass migration cannot improve the condition of the human  race by Les Govment 95 views At my age I am undoubtedly older than most libertarians, and I think that my age and experience should count for something. For most of my adult life I've favored easy immigration. In my heart, I still think that a person should be able to go wherever they need to in order to put food on the table, clothes on their back and a roof over their head. But in case anybody didn't notice, hunger has been on the decline across the globe. Now, fewer people than ever need to migrate to find the necessities of life. There are 7.7 billion people on earth divided into a variety of different cultures. Some of those cultures are quite incompatible with one another. Muslim dominated Middle Eastern culture in particular is quite anathema toward the concept of liberty. Several European countries have been experiencing bad results (such as an increase in sexual assaults) from the...

Open Letter to Pat Benatar

Image
"Though Benatar told Vulture she still considers [Hit Me With Your Best Shot] 'a fabulous song' that 'everyone loves,' the star has said that in the wake of gun violence and an uptick in mass shootings in America, its meaning has changed for her, and she will no longer sing it on tour." PAT BENATAR An Open Letter To Pat Benatar by Les Govment 59 views Dear Pat: Over the last two decades, I've seen/read several excerpts from interviews featuring you. I applaud you and Neil for pushing back against those in the record industry who pushed a sexualized image for you. Also, given what the divorce rate is, it's refreshing to see that your marriage to Neil has endured. Congrats on that. In July of 2022, you told USA Today that you're not singing Hit Me With Your Best Shot anymore. You've said you've stopped performing it for multiple reasons, and said, " It’s too juvenile for me to sing." Fair enough. In an interview with Vulture, you ...

My Manifesto

Image
A MANIFESTO Applying moral principles to limiting government by Les Govment December 16, 2020 127 views 1. Human beings have a right to life (note: that right can be forfeited if a person, without justification, is engaged in a physical act of aggression or violence against another person/persons). All human beings have a natural-born right to self-defense and a right to defend others. 2. All human beings have a natural right to live their lives as they choose, provided their choices and actions do not violate other people or their property or create a hazardous condition for others. 3. All human beings have a natural right to freedom of speech. (Slander and ongoing verbal harassment are both separate issues.) 4. Human beings have a natural right to privacy, and therefore have a right to not be subjected to searches of themselves or their properties or possessions without probable cause. 5. People have a natural right to be secure in the ownership of their property (land, houses, barns...

We Need Our Heroes Back

Image
We Need Our Heroes Back   by Jackie Chea 72 views For generations of the world, storytelling revolved around ideals. Now- in our quest for realism- we have destroyed the ideals, but we’ve also missed the mark on reality. Even in real life, not EVERY person is hopelessly dysfunctional. Not everyone is an addict. Not everyone is an abusive parent…or a misogynist…or a tyrant…or sexually confused.   Yet, those are the personalities Hollywood focuses. If you watch enough media, you’ll think it’s universal. There are almost no idealistic heroes left. Heroes in storytelling served a real purpose, however- even if they weren’t really achievable. They gave us something to strive for.   I’m not talking about Superman or Batman (Lord knows we have enough of those). I’m talking about the brave person who triumphs over real evil and doesn’t let their neuroses and weaknesses rule their decision making. Sometimes that might take the form of an Aragorn and sometimes it might be a George ...

The New Racism

THE NEW RACISM Generational bigotry is unacceptable by Les Govment 46 views Saying that people born in certain age groups are "dumb as fuck" is just as bad as saying that people of another skin color are "dumb as fuck." No one gets to choose their skin color. No one gets to choose the year they're born. Generational bigotry is just as bad as racial bigotry. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/boomers-30/202111/the-culture-war-against-baby-boomers The tweet below is garbage.

James Younger

Image
James Younger, Victim of Trans Ideology by Les Govment 91 views In 2021, James Younger's psychologically-abusive mom, Anne Georgulas, was wrongly awarded custody of James by Democrat Judge Mary Brown. Since then, Georgulas (who calls James, "Luna") has moved James to California, which is a state that allows the mutilation of children's bodies (see Senate Bill 107, which was signed by California's despicable, immoral governor, Gavin Newsom). The Texas Supreme Court recently shirked its moral and legal obligations to protect James Younger from his abusive mom, Anne Georgulas and the State of California. Shame. On. Texas Supreme Court. Shame. On. State of California. Shame. On. Anne Georgulas. Talk About Personal Freedom

Image
Advice to GOP: Talk about personal freedom. Over and over. A compilation of tweets by @just_mindy 91 views I literally do not know how anyone can look at today’s Democratic Party and think “wow they are really competent and looking out for my best interest and I should vote for them”. AOC, Pelosi, Schumer, Omar, Whitehouse, Harris and Biden are the faces of their party. How can you look at any of those people and think “I want them to run my life.” Conversely, I can look at the Republican Party and see people like DeSantis, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Joni Ernst, Greg Abbott, Tim Scott, etc., and these are all very sane and measured people. The difference is staggering. You don’t have to particularly like each of those people or each of the decisions they’ve made, but as a whole, they are very brilliant and sane and there isn’t a Democrat who could hold a candle to any of them. Anyway, that is my advice to anyone running a campaign. You simply talk about liberty and personal freedom and contr...
