Bombing a Boat

BOMBING A BOAT It’s not just cartel members in danger post by the Libertarian Party of Texas 3 views On September 2, 2025, the U.S. Navy launched an airstrike against a small vessel in the southern Caribbean, allegedly run by the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua cartel and smuggling drugs toward the United States. The strike destroyed the boat and killed eleven people on board. Unlike traditional Coast Guard interdictions, which involve boarding and seizure, this action was carried out as a military operation—deadly force on suspicion alone. This escalation should alarm every American. The FBI and intelligence community have already branded peaceful dissenters as “extremists”—Tea Party activists, Libertarians, traditional Catholics, parents questioning school boards, and even people who refused to wear masks. By the same standard used against this boat, those citizens could one day be treated as “terror suspects” and targeted with lethal force. If suspicion is enough to justify summary execut...

On Behalf of Gazans

Image
On Behalf of Gazans by Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA)  4 views If America was being bombed day and night because of something horrific our government did, and many innocent Americans and American children were being killed and traumatically injured, and we begged for mercy, but the rest of the world said: “Americans voted for their government so they deserve it, their government is bad so all Americans are bad, therefore this is what they get and must be done.”  And the world was silent to our suffering. And no one came to our aid. And our cities and homes were bombed and turned to rubble. And our infrastructure was destroyed-- no farms, no grocery stores, no more organized society. And no one helped our injured and hungry children. How would you feel? What would you think?  What would you do? This is what is happening to Gaza where in spite of what we have all been told, many innocent people and children are being killed, and they are not Hamas. Does Hamas deserve it? Yes...

Tariffs

TARIFFS  A strong case against Trump's tariffs by Melanie 11 views Here is an example to help make people understand. For one of the items that I import, the tariffs that I paid for a shipment before the inauguration was $28,641. Now with Trump's new tariffs it is $55,919. After 8/12, the tariffs will increase again so it will be $76,832. This is a huge increase from January.   The customer has not accepted a price increase for this item, hopefully they will in the future. In the meantime my small business that works on low profit margins has to eat this extra cost, or stop selling the item. I have this same issue with multiple products.  If we stop selling it, then the people who work in the U.S. on the production line, the warehouse, in logistics and the office on this will lose that work. In addition, the U.S. companies that I buy other components from will lose a lot of revenue, and most of those are also small companies.  Right now these U.S. companies have...

America First

Image
AMERICA FIRST Real America First wants world peace for all people   by Marjorie Taylor Green 5 views Everyone is finding out who are real America First/MAGA and who were fake and just said it because it was popular. Unfortunately, the list of fakes are becoming quite long and exposed themselves quickly. Anyone slobbering for the U.S. to become fully involved in the Israel/Iran war is not America First/MAGA. Wishing for murder of innocent people is disgusting. We are sick and tired of foreign wars.  All of them. And this one will quickly engulf the Middle East, BRICS, and NATO as countries are required to take a side. Real America First/MAGA wants world peace for all people and doesn’t want our military killed and forever injured physically and mentally.   They are our friends, spouses, cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers, sons, and daughters. We have spent TRILLIONS in the Middle East and we have dealt with the aftermath of death, blown apart bodies, never ending ...

Abrego Garcia

Image
The Abrego Garcia Case Due process for everyone matters A thread of posts by Amanda Knox 11 views This battle over Abrego Garcia is simple. It doesn't matter that he was here illegally. It doesn't matter if he's a gang member or if he's a wife beater (both of which are disputed). It doesn't matter if you think he deserves to be deported or to be in prison. It doesn't matter if you think the county is overrun with immigrants who entered illegally. It doesn't matter if the system is burdened with processing these immigration hearings. Only one thing matters here, and all the rest is a distraction. There was standing court order preventing his deportation, and he was arrested and deported anyway. Even if you think that court order was unwise, flawed, or based on politically motivated reasoning, it was a legal court order. It was never challenged. It was merely violated. According to SCOTUS:  "The United States Government arrested Kilmar Armando Abrego Garc...

We want to live

Image
Gazans: We want to live X/Twitter post by Hamza 8 views For over 18 months, we were dehumanized in the worst ways imaginable. Our deaths were justified as necessary. Our suffering was dismissed as deserved. Our misery was framed as a consequence of our own choices, as if we had chosen to live under Hamas, as if we had the power to resist them without being killed. We were treated as if we were all terrorists, stripped of our humanity, and blamed for our own destruction. The world watched as entire families were wiped out, as neighborhoods were turned to dust, and still, the excuse remained the same: They are Hamas. They brought this upon themselves. And now, thousands of Gazans have risked their lives to say it clearly: Hamas is a terrorist organization. We want them gone. They called for peace—loudly, unmistakably. They demanded an end to this war. After months of relentless devastation, starvation, and displacement, they stood up and made it clear: We refuse to be pawns in this war a...

Humanizing Them

Image
HUMANIZING THEM Palestinians are human beings 6 views For too long, too many folks in Western Nations have been using words and phrases that dehumanize the people of Palestine. Just as it would be wrong to conflate the people of Russia with Vladimir Putin, so too, it is also wrong to say things like,  "There's no such thing as Palestinians"  or  "They all voted for Hamas." (Note: counting adult and minor Gazans alive in 2023, less than 1/4 of them voted for Hamas in the last election 19 years ago). // Links to videos of Palestinians: https://x.com/Mo7ammed_jawad6/status/1891209833866473533 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip react to ceasefire agreement https://x.com/OnlinePalEng/status/1888294755899195401 https://x.com/sahouraxo/status/1892709808991830193 https://x.com/GazaMartyrs/status/1890443693301080318 https://x.com/GazaMartyrs/status/1893009582210895973 ...

Libertarian Socialism

Image
LIBERTARIAN SOCIALISM Libertarian Socialism is incompatible with actual libertarianism by Ben The Emo Ancap    8 views Libertarian Socialism is incompatible with actual libertarian ideology. Socialism fundamentally contradicts the core principles of what libertarianism stands for. Libertarianism, as envisioned by Rothbard and Hayek, promotes a society where individuals have the maximum possible autonomy in their economic and personal lives. Libertarian Socialism attempts to reconcile the liberty of the individual with the collective ethos of socialism. How can anyone have true individual liberty when the economic system is designed to prioritize communal welfare over personal choice? The idea of collective ownership inherently suggests a form of control or governance over property, which is antithetical to the libertarian idea of property rights where ownership is an extension of the individual. The mechanisms needed to manage collective ownership-- whether it be through direc...

Restore Australia

Image
RESTORE AUSTRALIA by  Alexandra Marshall 18 views I've come to the end of my patience. Our nation, our culture, we built an incredible thing. Australia was the final experiment of Western Civilisation - a colony built from scratch at the edge of the map that became a prosperous, peaceful, beautiful nation. It was miracle. An impossible task. I doubt it would have succeeded if not for the British attitude we inherited. The idea that we 'have a cup of tea and keep going' evolved into the billy tea and damper of our pioneers. It's the 'She'll be right, mate!' attitude that kept us alive. I don't think the world properly appreciates what it was like for those early settlers to walk into a patch of bush and lay the foundations of a city. Read their journals. Their stories. What they faced was the terror of isolation from the crib of the world. Australia was the product of hard work - from petty convicts who were used as slave labour until earning their freedo...

War Crimes in Gaza

Image
Blogger's note: I am a deist, but I am familiar with the Bible-- I've read it from cover to cover. Also, let me make myself clear here: I oppose Hamas and condemn any attacks on Israel. WAR CRIMES IN GAZA Christians should oppose bombing civilians by Les Govment 51 views Ever since the attacks in Israel and the taking of hostages in October of 2023, I've seen many Christians on X/Twitter stating their support for Israel in the conflict with Hamas. I would join them in their support of Israel if Prime Minister Netanyahu had sent the IDF into Gaza to hunt Hamas and search for the hostages. But that's not what Netanyahu did. Instead, he authorized massive, continual bombings of the Gaza Strip, mostly hitting civilian areas.  Over 45,000 Gazans have been killed by the IDF, with at least 30,000 of them being women and children. And more than 1000 children have had limbs amputated. How can Christians support the bombings? If they believe that the modern state of Israel is the...

Victims in Gaza

Blogger's note: I oppose Hamas. -- Les Govment VICTIMS IN GAZA Bombing civilians is never justifiable by Les Govment 22 views In my article, " The Left's Authoritarian Slippery-Slope " (composed in late 2016), I stated this: "It has become apparent that many on the left haven't learned the full lesson from the Nazis' "cleansing" of German society. While it was clearly wrong for the Nazis to specifically target Jews and gays (and others), it's a mistake to be overly focused on the Nazis' racism or on the specific groups that were targeted. The full lesson to be learned is that targeting any group for mistreatment (or extermination) is detestable." Flash forward to 2023-2024. Over the last 14 months, many American conservatives and Christians have argued that the Israeli Government's bombings of civilian areas in Gaza are justified. Those bombings have killed about 40,000 Gazans, the huge majority of them civilians (roughly 40% o...

Bibles in the Classroom

BIBLES IN THE CLASSROOM? Government shouldn't impose religious teachings by Doni   14 views The Bible isn’t a culture-war weapon, but using government force to impose it in public schools absolutely turns it into one. The First Amendment clearly prohibits the government from endorsing or mandating religious practices.  Forcing public schools to reintroduce the Bible in classrooms doesn’t promote freedom—it undermines it by using taxpayer dollars to push one religious perspective over all others. If parents want their children to study the Bible, there are countless private avenues—churches, religious schools, or homeschooling—where this can be done.  But public schools, funded by individuals of all faiths and beliefs, aren’t the place for government-imposed religious teachings. Morality and good citizenship aren’t the exclusive property of Christianity or any other religion, and history has shown that mandating religion in public spaces doesn’t solve societal problems—it ...
